The Jacksonville Community can Bring Art into their Lives Thanks to the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
In-Person or Virtually, Art is Accessible to all of Jacksonville Through the Museum’s Programming
The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens celebrates artistic expression and philanthropy's impact on the Jacksonville community. Built thanks to the generosity of Ninah and Arthur Cummer, the Museum honors their legacy by celebrating their art collection and the beauty of their estate, which they bequeathed for the enjoyment of the general public. The couple’s contribution to the city's growth and its preservation lives on today, and its docents continue to make it accessible to all. Whether you choose to join its virtual offerings or become a sustainer through a family membership, the Museum provides plenty of art exploration opportunities. The most updated event information is available on its website, and it includes-
- Lectures- about once a month, an expert will lecture on a specific work of art or its influence. Registration required.
- Virtual Family Exploration- typically the third Friday of each month, programming is built to include the whole family in a virtual tour of the Museum.
- Adult classes- hands-on art classes geared to adult students tie with programmatic content. Space is limited, and reservations are required.
