The JT Townsend Foundation continues to focus its efforts to help children and adults living with
disabilities receive adaptive equipment and resources to improve their lives.
Thanks to the generosity of SERVPRO® of Arlington and Jacksonville South, JT Townsend Foundation can now assist even more familieson the First Coast.
SERVPRO® of Arlington and Jacksonville South held its 4th Annual Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament on October 24, 2014 at Windsor Golf Club with the JT Townsend Foundation named as the beneficiary for the second consecutive year. The event was sold out and featured more than 25 Corporate and Community Sponsors including Sunbelt Rentals, Black Knight Financial, Flooring America, Jaguars Foundation, Suddath, THE PLAYERS, The Coca-Cola Company, Yellow Pages and more.
The event was filled with festivities including a Hole-In-One Contest presented by J. Ryder Group and Mike Davidson Ford, a Straightest Drive Contest presented by Fred Funk and a Silent Auction benefitting the Foundation.
“We are grateful to SERVPRO® of Arlington and Jacksonville South for their generous support over the years and their donation has helped us surpass a key milestone to provide more that $300,000 of adaptive medical equipment and financial resources to 135 families. Our requests continue to grow and we hope that others will support JT Townsend Foundation so we can continue to help those in need,” said Judi Zitiello, Chairperson, JT Townsend Foundation.
“We were so pleased to support the JT Townsend Foundation with our annual golf tournament. It’s a great feeling to be able to contribute to our community to help those families living with disabilities and we hope

JT Townsend Foundation
JT Townsend, the foundation’s founder, suffered a spinal cord injury playing football for his high school team, Episcopal High School, on October 8, 2004, in a game against Bishop Kenny High School. Despite his injury, JT made great strides including starting his own foundation, JTTF, to give back to those in the community who provided support for him in his time of need. In April 2013, JT graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Sport Management. Unfortunately six weeks later, JT suddenly passed away on June 5, 2013 at the age of 26. His foundation continues his legacy of giving back and paying forward. In three years of its existence, JTTF has helped 135 families in Northeast Florida with over $309,000 for adaptive equipment and financial assistance. With your help his legacy will live on through his foundation and continue to help families on the First Coast.
